Biography

Dan Honeywell is a third-generation Floridian from Vero Beach, Florida and the grandson of Vero pioneers who moved to the area just before the turn of the century. Growing up in the Vero community through graduation from Vero Beach High School , Mr. Honeywell was a recognized student-scholar, athlete, and leader.

After high school graduation, Dan selected the University of Florida for his entire remaining formal education.  Again, as can be seen in his available biography he excelled in academics and leadership at every level. Dan initially graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting, intending to become a certified public accountant after he returned from his pending military service.

However, after serving as an Army Aviation officer from 1964 to 1967, including as a decorated helicopter pilot with the First Cavalry Division in Viet Nam in 1966, Dan returned to attend law school at the University of Florida on the GI Bill. The following is a reduced resume of some of his accomplishments and recognition occurring during his college and post-graduate education and his resultant professional career:
